The team at Icebreaker Festival are delighted to announce the first confirmed artists and acts to perform at the first ever Summer edition of the festival, taking place on July 9th in Southsea.
It was a heart-breaking moment on winter-Icebreaker eve when Hallan announced that Covid had infiltrated their camp and had to pull out. However, the void will be filled as they have re-accepted headliner responsibilities and will join the festival once again. They have been enjoying local and national popularity before and after their run as BBC 6 Steve Lamaq’s album of the week. The four-piece post punk band will rattle “uninspiring modern indie music” and challenge our surroundings with rich observational poetry.
The No Requests stage will return to Back to the Belgrave after its huge popularity at the winter festival. The stage offers an opportunity for the plethora of musicians, song-writers, and festival-goers to jam together in impromptu serendipitous fashion. There were some incredible song-writers that stopped in and shared their great songs, and even some first-time live performers.
How does it work?
If you want to play then head down to Back to Belgrave where the No Requests team will have mics, guitars, bass, and drum kit including breakables and sticks ready to play. You can either play a few of your original songs (no covers we're afraid) or improvise a jam with some new or old friends!
Keep your eyes peeled for more content as many more acts will be announced in the coming weeks. For a start:
